Are all of your pre-owned designer items authentic?
Yes! Every pre-owned designer item sold at The Reissued is authentic. Handbags, small leather goods, jewelry, accessories, and select clothing are verified by an independent third-party authentication service before they are listed, so nothing reaches the site without an outside expert confirming it. We never sell replicas, and if an item cannot be authenticated, we do not accept it into consignment.
How do you authenticate luxury handbags and designer items?
Every luxury handbag and designer item is authenticated through established third-party services, including Real Authentication, LegitGrails, and Legit App. Each piece is submitted to an outside authentication expert who examines detailed photographs of the item's construction, hardware, stitching, serial or date codes, and interior markings against known brand standards. Using multiple independent services means no single opinion determines whether an item is genuine. Only items that pass authentication are listed for sale.
What condition are your pre-owned luxury items in?
Most pre-owned luxury items at The Reissued are in very good to pristine condition. Every piece is inspected before listing, and condition is graded and described in detail on the product page along with photographs of any wear.Occasionally we accept a piece in fair or good condition when it is an archival or rare vintage find worth offering, and in those cases the wear is disclosed clearly in the listing and reflected in the price. We encourage reaching out for any further details on condition or with any other questions about an item prior to purchase.
Do pre-owned designer bags come with original dust bags, boxes, or authenticity cards?
It depends on the item. Original dust bags, boxes, and authenticity cards are included when the consignor still has them, and any original packaging that comes with a bag is listed on the product page so you know before you order. When a bag arrives without its original dust bag, The Reissued includes a dust bag of our own so every piece ships ready for storage, travel, and safekeeping.
What luxury designer brands do you carry?
The Reissued carries pre-owned pieces from the major European luxury houses, including Chanel, Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Gucci, Prada, Céline, Bottega Veneta, Saint Laurent, Loewe, Fendi, Balenciaga, Chloé, Miu Miu, Lanvin, and Tom Ford. Our shoe and accessory brands include Christian Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik, and Salvatore Ferragamo, and we regularly stock ready-to-wear from Loro Piana, Brunello Cucinelli, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Alexander McQueen, Moschino, Escada, Roberto Cavalli, and Oscar de la Renta. On the elevated contemporary side, look for Veronica Beard, Zimmermann, Alice + Olivia, Ulla Johnson, Isabel Marant, Ganni, Doen, A.L.C., and Mother. Vintage and archival pieces from houses like Jean Paul Gaultier and Thierry Mugler appear as they are sourced. Inventory changes constantly, so brand availability varies.
Can I return or exchange a pre-owned designer item?
All sales are final. Because The Reissued operates on consignment, each piece belongs to an individual consignor rather than to us, so we are not able to accept returns or exchanges. To make sure you buy with confidence, every listing includes detailed photographs, a full condition description, and measurements, and we are always happy to answer questions or send additional photos before you purchase. What is the difference between vintage, pre-owned, and pre-loved luxury?
Vintage refers to age, while pre-owned and pre-loved refer to ownership. A vintage piece is generally one that is at least 20 years old, which means it comes from a specific era of a house's design history and may feature hardware, materials, or silhouettes no longer in production. Pre-owned and pre-loved both mean the item has had a previous owner, and the two terms are used interchangeably in the resale market. Pre-loved is simply the warmer, more common phrasing.
The categories overlap. A vintage Chanel bag is also pre-owned, but a bag purchased last season and resold is pre-owned without being vintage. At The Reissued, listings describe both the age and the condition of every piece, so you always know which you are buying.
